My sister-in-law died today. She was diagnosed with colon cancer, but it spread into her liver, bones and finally her brain. Thankfully, she died in her sleep. I love this scripture:
Revelation 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
She had a lot of moxie and will be remembered fondly. Now she knows all the answers to the BIG questions in life...

Oh Gosh, Eyes! I'm so sorry, and praise be to G*D that we have that so great a Hope!
She is no longer subject to fear, pain, sorrow, or any other pang we live with here.

After watching my husband suffer from cancer and chemo, it's a rough row to hoe, for the patient and the family.
I have found that if 1 member of the family has it, everyone has it(so to speak.)
Keep the memories green! And don't be hiding the hole she leaves...it's much better than to be passed over.
She sounds like she was my kind of lady!

My condolences to you on the loss of your sister-in-law.
In this family, we're waiting to hear the results of my brother-in-law's biopsy. The docs found a spot in his lungs. My brother-in-law had melanoma a few years back, and this spot could be metastasis.
AOW, I'm so sorry to hear that! Our prayers are with you and your brother-in-law. You know I've heard of people lingering and suffering for years and years with cancer, but in my S-I-L's case, she only lasted 5 months! It really to me by surprise. They were going to bring her home, and then she was dead. So strange how it works.
